Romanticism Art Periods
This period in the art is that wonderful time when man’s or woman’s strong emotion of the era is made into art. Artists depicts images that aim to draw out the sentiments of those who view them, or painted present situations that convey man’s or woman’s state of angst, suffering, tragedy and fear in order to stimulate the feeling of satisfaction, awesomeness or sympathy of the general public. Thus, in the art of painting, we have Gericault’s The Raft of the Medusa, Delacroix’s The Massacre at Chios, or Francisco Goya’s The Nude Maja. Among many other beautiful Romanticism produced arts.

The era of Romanticism had started in the late 18th century till the middle of 19th century. The common features of the arts are the vivid sceneries, rich in colours, energetic strokes of the brush and the element of drama, moving the audience to sympathy and satisfaction. The said period had greatly influenced the mainstream of thought of the coming years that made the French Revolution possible.
